Slowly work each side of the ribbon until it starts to come out .If you have an old style S/A do not pull it all the way out yet .New style pull it out. .

p417.jpg (76700 bytes)

If you have an old style S/A mark the pin contacts so you can line the legs of the S/A up to your marks .

p419.jpg (81837 bytes)

Hole the S/A as shown in the picture . Upside down and solder contacts up and away from you .

p4110.jpg (67416 bytes)

Slide the S/A in and fold over . Be sure it does not move on you . You might want to tape it down . New style will align easier then the old style .

Fold as shown

These are the wires from your female servo connecter . Cut to size and strip them back to solder . Be sure to run the wires through camera case before you solder to the S/A.

p4113.jpg (95427 bytes)

I like to tin the solder pads of the S/A and the wires . Hold the wire to the proper pad and just touch with your iron . You will see the wire grab . Be sure to you do not have a tear drop in your solder . It could poke in to a ribbon . If you do jus swipe it with your soldering iron to get rid of it .

Good time to test your camera . Touch your wires as shown in the picture to make sure your S/A is in correct and solder is good . Touch common to power camera should turn on . Then touch common to shutter and camera should take a picture . Then touch common to power again camera should turn off .

p4115.jpg (87155 bytes)

Sorry for the bad picture . Place electrical tape over your solder point . Will protect against shorts and will hold your S/A in place .

p4116.jpg (78951 bytes) Put it back together , YOUR DONE !!!
